Work With Me
The bet
AI changes what one person can do in quant trading. Not as a copilot that autocompletes code, but as the thing that runs the whole loop: read the research, form a hypothesis, test it honestly, kill it when it fails, and put the survivors in front of real markets. The edge is no longer only a better signal. It’s the speed and rigor of the loop that finds signals, kills the bad ones, and validates the rest. I’m building that loop end to end, and I want to build it with someone who sees the same thing.
What I’m building
A full-stack quant operation where every stage is owned, not rented:
- Discovery: agents that scan papers, sources, and market structure for candidate edge.
- Validation: backtesting built to disprove, not to flatter. Real engines, not a toy.
- Execution: live trading on the same engine hedge funds run, with real capital on the line.
- Orchestration: the feedback loop that ties discovery to live results and compounds what’s learned.
Where this honestly stands
I won’t sell you a track record I don’t have.
- The pipeline runs end to end. Its most reliable output so far is conviction about what doesn’t work: it has killed far more “promising” edges than it has kept. That rigor is the point; most retail quant tooling produces beautiful backtests that die live.
- I hold everything to a harder bar than a backtest: it has to survive real markets with real money. That validation is in progress, not finished.
- I have original research behind the thesis and the stack to act on it. What I don’t yet have is the one proven, live edge that turns this from a strong system into a printing press. Finding that is the current job.
If “no track record yet, but a real system and a clear thesis” is a dealbreaker, we’re not aligned. That’s fine.
How I build: shared ownership, no gatekeeping
I’ve been on the other side of a collaboration where the code and the strategy stayed locked behind one person. You pay, you wait, and you never actually own anything. I won’t build that way, and I won’t ask you to.
- We co-develop. Strategies are built together, not handed over as black boxes. If it’s gated, it’s not a partnership; it’s a service, and that’s a different business.
- Shared upside. Collaborators share in what we make: revenue share, and for a co-founder, a real stake in the platform itself, not a paycheck.
- Own the stack. The whole reason this is full-stack and self-hosted is so we depend on no one’s gate. That principle extends to how we work together.
Who I’m looking for
- A co-founder: a real quant with genuine strength in systematic trading (crypto or equities; depth matters more than the market). Someone who wants to build the fund with me, at least half their time. Medium risk appetite: we don’t blow up, and we don’t play so safe we never trade.
- A contributor: someone who wants to build a specific strategy with me on revenue share. Lighter commitment, same principle: co-developed, not gated.
Above the role, one thing matters most: you genuinely believe AI is going to reshape how quant trading gets done, and you want to build on top of that, not watch from the sidelines.
What I bring
The platform, capital (specifics on request), my time, and a way of working that treats you as an owner. What I want back is concrete: ideas I haven’t had, code that works, data I haven’t seen. Let’s find the edge together.
Test me first
Don’t take my word for the rigor. Send me a trading idea: a signal, a strategy, a paper you believe in. I’ll run it through my agent and tell you what’s likely wrong with it. If you like how that conversation goes, we should talk.
